MADISON TOWNSHIP

FIRE & RESCUE

The Madison Twp. Fire & Rescue department used to be housed on Glick street in the heart of Mulberry at the town hall building and for many years the building was a great home for the fire service.  As time went on and new equipment and new members joined the building was beginning to be to small. With the help of department members and town officials it was decided  that we needed more space and a better building to house the fire service.

The town trustee purchased land at the east edge of town and they  decided this is were the the new home of the fire service would be. With the help of many people the department applied for a grant through the community block grant foundation and they were awarded a grant for there new home .

In 2004 with the hard work of Eden Construction and Commonwealth Engineers the building was ready for inspection and move in. The new building now has 6 drive through bays, two storage rooms, two business offices, a conference room, kitchenette, and two restrooms with showers. With all the new space the department is able to do fire trainings inside if the weather does not cooperate, and we can also host many community events with the added space.

The bay area only is 4,080sqft with the office and meeting room space adds another 1,836sqft with the total 5,916sqft, so it is a big step from the old building.
